Farid made president, Rashid secy gen of FBUTA

Dhaka University Teachers’ Association president Farid Uddin Ahmed was elected as president while Islamic University Teachers’ Association general secretary Rashid Askari as secretary general of Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association for 2014.
The annual general meeting of the federation was held at its central office at Dhaka University Teachers’ Club at 3pm on Friday with outgoing president M Moazzem Hossain Khan in the chair, said a press release.
The vice-presidents of the committee are Prof Quamrul Hasan Majumdar of Rajshahi University, Prof Benu Kumar Dey of Chittagong University, Prof Farid Ahmad of Jahangirnagar University, Prof Lutfal Hasan of Bangladesh Agricultural University and Prof Mohsin Uddin of Bangladesh Open University.
