EID FILM RELEASE
Yet another Shakib dominated fest beginsZiaul Hasan
Four films have been finalised for the Eid release after a prolonged background calculations. Three of these movies star Dhallywood heartthrob Shakib Khan.
The Bangladesh Film Producers and Distributors Association has given green signals to Don Number One, Swami Bhagya, Jiddi Maa and Buk Phute to Mukh Phute Na and Love in Jungle.
The producers of the four movies, except Love in Jungle, have decided to give release of the movies after getting clearance from the distributors.
Most surprising thing of this year’s Eid release was withdrawal of Chashi Nazrul Islam’s long awaited movie Debdas from the race. Initially, Chashi decided to release the movie in the lucrative market of prolonged Puja and Eid celebrations. Finally, he however, told New Age that Debdas would be released after Eid festivity.
Shakib starred Don Number One, Jiddi Maa and Buk Phute to Mukh Phute Na had got clearance a few days ago to get grab the Eid market.
Dipjol starred Swami Bhagya has added a last moment ‘suspense’ in the competition to hit the Eid market.
All the scheduled four movies to be released in the Eid follow the typical Dhallywood chemistry of either social drama or romantic-action genre.
But, the concerned people observe that a competition is likely between Apu Biswas and Sahara. Both of these Dhallywood sensations are playing in opposite roles with Shakib Khan.
The hit duo will dominate the upcoming market, a concerned person told New Age.
Shakib Khan and Sahara are the stars in Badiul Alam Khokon’s romantic action movie Don Number One. The big budget film also stars Misha Soudagar, Ujjal and Ilias Cobra.
It is expected to face huge challenge by Badiul Alam Khokhon’s romantic film Buk Faate To Mukh Photey Na, which features popular Shakib Apu duo. Romana, Sohel Rana and others perform in the triangular love film.
The producer of Shakib-Apu starred action film Jiddi Mama, directed by Shahdat Hossain Litan, also expecting profit in the Eid market.
FI Manik’s family drama Swami Bhagya starring Dipjal, Romana, Dighi, and others, is also trying to grab the market, a source confirmed.
The producer of the cheap budget movie Love in Jungle, directed by D Hossain, has not yet decided to release the film in the Eid Ul Azha.
