Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd on Tuesday declared 25 per cent cash dividend and 40 per cent stock dividend (bonus share) for its shareholders for the year ended on March 31, 2012 at its 46th annual general meeting held on its factory premises at Kaliakoir in Gazipur.
Chairman of the company Samuel S Chowdhury presided over the AGM, said a news release.
Vice-chairman Ratna Patra, managing director Tapan Chowdhury, director Kazi Iqbal Harun, independent director M Sekander Ali, director (A&F) Md Kabir Reza and company secretary Khandaker Habibuzzaman, attended the meeting.
The meeting was told that the company’s gross profit, net profit (before tax) and net profit (after tax) for the year 2011-2012 were Tk 6887.17 million, Tk 3,978.93 million and Tk 2,897.71 million respectively. Net sales and net profit rises to 19.17 per cent and 16.52 per cent respectively during the year 2011-12.
