Leaders of Bangladesh Students’ Union on Thursday placed their 13-point demand to mark the upcoming 50 years of Shikkha Dibash on September 17.
At a press conference at Madhur Canten, they called upon the government to observe the day nationally and recognise right to education as a fundamental right.
They demanded implementation of unitary, scientific and universal education policy, allotment of 8 per cent of the country’s national income for education, nationalisation of the task of ensuring education for all and education for minority people in their own languages.
