Khaleda defers Dinajpur meeting

Staff Correspondent

Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s chairperson Khaleda Zia’s public meeting in Dinajpur town on September 20 has been deferred to September 23, presumably due to the prime minister’s programmes in the northern district.
BNP’s joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Monday told New Age that the public meeting in Dinajpur has been shifted to September 23.
When asked about the reason for changing the date, he said it was due to organizational matters. However a senior leader said the public meeting was shifted due to some ‘technical’ reasons as the prime minister will visit Lalmonirhat on September 20.
