DU intake tests to start Oct 12

The Dhaka University authorities Tuesday morning decided to start its first year bachelor admission tests for the sessions 2012-13 on October 12.
The deans’ committee members told reporters that the committee in a meeting fixed the primary dates for holding admission tests in five units including ‘Ka’, ‘Kha’, ‘Ga’, ‘Gha’ and ‘Cha’ under different faculties.
The intake tests for ‘Ka’ unit for science students would be held on October 12, ‘Kha’ unit for humanities students on October 19, ‘Ga’ unit for business studies students on November 2 and ‘Gha’ unit for all on November 9.
The admission test for fine arts faculty would be held on November 16, they confirmed.
The dates would be approved in the next admission test committee meeting, said social science dean Farid Uddin Ahmed.
He said the requirements for the admission tests would be the same as the previous years and it would cost Tk 300 for admission form and Tk 30 more for online application process.
The online form would be made available on August 26 and continued for September 15, he also said.
The aspirants have to collect information and the application form from the university website www.admission.univdhaka.edu.
