President for expanding welfare scouts activities

Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha . Dhaka

The president, Zillur Rahman, on Tuesday asked the Bangladesh Scouts to further expand their welfare-oriented activities across the country.
The president, who is also the chief of Bangladesh Scouts, gave the directives while a delegation, led by Bangladesh Scout’s president M Abdul Karim, met him at Bangabhaban in the capital.
During the meeting, the delegation invited the president to attend Asia-Pacific Region Scout Conference to be held in Dhaka and Maulvibazar in November. Nearly 600 scouts from various countries are expected to join the conference, they said.
Terming scouting as a public welfare movement, Zillur wished success for the upcoming international scouting conference.
He expressed his hope to attend the conference and assured his all-out support in this regard.
The delegation included its vice-president Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, vice-president MM Niazuddin, chief national commissioner M Abul Kalam Azad, treasurer M Abdus Salam Khan and national commissioner (international) Mozammel Haque Khan.
