Film director Shamsuddin Togor dies

Film director Shamsuddin Togor passed away on Monday evening at the Ibn Sina Hospital in the capital. He was 68.
Togor had been suffering from urethra related complexities. Togor had a successful operation on Sunday though he died unexpectedly on the next day right after Iftar.
He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and many relatives and well-wishers. Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association has conveyed their deepest grief over the death of Shamsuddin Togor.  
He was buried at the family graveyard in his home district Jessore after namaaz-e-janaza at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation Tuesday at 11:00am.
Shamsuddin Togor began his career as an assistant director. His first film as a director was Dassu Banhur. Kar Bou, Akheri Nishan, Gali Theke Rajpath, Dakhal, Samrat, Raj Bhikarhi, Hur A Arab, Shahajada were some of his remarkable films.  Moreover, Shamsuddin Togor used to reside at Tejkunipara of farmgate in Dhaka.
