Former Indian president APJ Abdul Kalam arrived in the Dhaka city on Wednesday on a two-day personal visit.
He arrived in a Jet Airways flight at about 3:00pm.
Senior government officials, CIRDAP executives and Indian High Commission officials received him at the airport.
Abdul Kalam, also a renowned scientist, is scheduled to deliver a lecture at the 33rd foundation day celebration of CIRDAP, an intergovernmental body for rural development and poverty alleviation in Asia and the Pacific region.
