Awareness of int’l affairs

BANGLADESH as a nation does not seem to be quite aware of international politics. Such lack of awareness is detrimental to national and international interests. In an increasingly globalised world, every nation is interrelated with each other and has strong inter-dependence. What happens in the other part of the Atlantic will have a strong impact in the Bay of Bengal. This is same for all. So we must have strong awareness of what is happening in the remotest parts of the world.
But in Bangladesh it does not seem to be practised properly. If we look through our daily newspapers we will see how inadequately they cover international affairs. It risks making the coming generation ill-equipped with worldly affairs.
