CU approves Tk 122.5cr budget

The finance committee of Chittagong University on Thursday approved Tk 122.5 crore budget for the fiscal year of 2012-13.
The budget aimed at adopting timely plan for improving education and research, developing infrastructure of the university and implementing the plan.
The budget was approved at the 48th syndicate meeting held on Thursday at the conference room of the vice-chancellor on the campus.
Acting accountant Mohammed Faridul Alam submitted the budget at the meeting. Speaking as the chairman VC professor Anwarul Azim Arif projected the positive aspect of the budget.
‘The budgetary allocation received from the University Grant Commission is meager’, said the VC.
He called upon the non-government organisations and individuals to come forward for infrastructural development of the university.
Pro-VC Professor Allauddin, acting accountant Mohammed Faridul Alam and other members were also present at the budget discussion.
