Murdering trees!

SHaHIDUL Alam’s opinion piece, published along with five explicit photographs in New Age on June 19, provides a classic example of the saying ‘an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.’ With nothing better to do, the army has now started killing trees in public parks.
Just saying sorry will not do. The army authorities should take the people responsible to task for such wanton act of destruction. They should be made to pay for replanting and nurturing all the trees unnecessarily murdered. This is also a case of having authority without responsibility.
I would appeal to your valued daily, to follow up on the matter, and inform the public, of the progress on the replanting of these trees.
