ACC quizzes five top officials of Destiny Group

The Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday questioned five more top officials of Destiny Group over alleged irregularities in the multi level marketing company.
A three-member ACC team led by its director squadron leader Tahidul Islam interrogated Mohammad Hossain, chairman of a company of Destiny Group, its directors Didarul Alam, a retired lieutenant colonel, and Shakibuzzaman, a retired major, and financial controller SB Karmakar and general manager (finance) Arfin Ali for hours, ACC deputy director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee told the news agency.
The interrogation was carried out at the ACC headquarters at Segunbagicha in the city, he said.
The commission earlier on June 7 questioned Destiny Group president Harun-Ar-Rashid, a lieutenant general and former army chief, at his office, he added.
ACC has so far quizzed 21 members of the Destiny Group including its chairman Rafiqul Amin, vice- presidents Mohammed Sayeed-ur-Rahman and Mohammad Gofranul Haque.
ACC also quizzed Destiny Group directors Nepal Chandra Das, Taiabur Rahman, Abul Kalam Azad, Zakir Hossain, Gofran Ahmed, Mejhab Uddin, Irfan Ahmed Sunny, Mohammad Hossain, Farah Diba, Destiny Group chairman Rafiqul’s wife Hosne Ara, Selina Rahman and Nitu Bishwas.
