9 killed in road mishaps across the country

At least nine people were killed and 33 others were injured in road accidents in four districts across the country on Tuesday.
Five people were killed in Noakhali, 3 in Chittagong and 1 in Brahmanbaria.
The New Age correspondent in Noakhali reported that 5 people were killed in a head-on collision between a CNG auto-rickshaw and a bus in Begumganj Upazila.
The deceased are Saleh Ahmed, 36, Anowar Hossain, 25, Nargis Begum, 20, Yeasin, 25, and Foysal, 25. All of the deceased were inhabitants of Begumganj.
The New Age correspondent in Chittagong reported that a speeding truck crushed two motorbike drivers when it hit them from behind in front of Amin Centre Shopping Mall at Lalkhan Bazar, Khulshi police station.
The deceased were identified as Mohammad Enamul Hoque, 30, son of Abul Khair and Mohammad Alamgir, 32, son of late Phul Miah, from Dowlatpur under Fatickchhari upazila in Chittagong.
Enamul was killed on the spot, whilst Abul sustained critical injuries. The correspondent said that locals rescued Abul and was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Police arrested the driver and seized the truck. They have filed a case in this connection.
Also in Chittagong, a businessman was killed when a speeding truck drove into a furniture-laden mini truck at Banshbaria, on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at around
2:15 am.
Sub-inspector Mahbub of Sitakunda Highway police said, Borhan Uddin was travelling to Noakhali and was killed on the spot. The driver and helper were injured in the incident.
The New Age correspondent in Brahmanbaria said a bus drove into a ditch leaving a woman dead in Chinair.
