New Myanmar Investment Summit to be held in Yangon June 20-21

Staff Correspondent

The New Myanmar Investment Summit 2012 will be held at Yangon, the capital of Myanmar on June 20 and 21.
The summit will highlight the latest reforms in the country, which has already been dubbed a ‘potential Asian tiger’. It includes geological and energy resources and which have attracted immense foreign interest and investment.
Myanmar is rapidly emerging as an investment hotspot for various industries in the mining, oil and gas, telecommunications, agriculture, tourism sectors.
The United Stats, the European Union, Australia, Canada, Japan and Bangladesh are keen to engage with Myanmar.
The summit will provide invaluable pointers on key clauses of the New Investment Law, advice on securing land concessions for investment, financing, foreign loans, as well as security issues on local partnership.
The Dhaka based PROBE News Magazine is a media partner of the event.
