MLM companies plunderers: ACC chair

United News of Bangladesh . Dhaka

Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Golam Rahman on Wednesday came down heavily on the multi-level marketing companies, saying that they were all plunderers.
Addressing a press briefing at the ACC office in the afternoon, the ACC boss said some depraved people in Destiny 2000 were engaged in looting and amassing wealth by deceiving the common people.
‘Plundering in the name of MLM has become so pervasive nowadays. We must rein in such activities,’ Golam Rahman said.
He went on, ‘We’re investigating the activities of Destiny 2000 on the basis of media reports. Those who are deceiving people in the name of giving excess profit should be punished.’
Referring to the Destiny 2000, the ACC chairman said effective steps would be taken based on the report to be submitted by its probe committee.
