Very often, we forget that we live in a country covered by dense jungles enriched with life, where different seasons bring different essence to the cyclical life of humans. Najmul Haque has captured the ever-changing expression of nature with subtle eyes and patience. These expressions of nature are on display at a solo photography exhibition titled ‘Patience and Admiration’ which is going on at Interior Depot - A Lifestyle Gallery, in Gulshan.
Ant, dragonfly, bees, clouds, flowers etc, all indispensible elements of nature, have been snapped by Najmul Haque, who loves to explore nature to discover self-renewing processes. Najmul travels frequently to pursue his passion for photography. He captures soothing nature and its elements from different corners of the world. Nevertheless his motherland has a profound place in Najmul’s photography.
The self taught photographer captured an exclusive moment of a dragonfly sitting on a flower in the photograph ‘Rongeela bhomor’. Another stunning work ‘Water skater’ shows an insect swimming on water, while ‘Expecting more’ depicts the vivid colours of a parrot. Najmul’s macro photography ‘Looking through nano lens’ portrays water drops on leaves.
‘Locked on target’ demonstrates a precious moment of hunting of a kingfisher.  A photograph titled ‘Scavenging’ is striking. ‘Tranquillity drown under’ shows a beautiful moment of a cloudy sky in twilight. ‘Tulip’ represents the beauty of the flower.
Najmul Haque reminds us to slow down and look around to admire the small details that surround us. In spite of being an IT professional he has observed the surroundings with an open eye, to live life to its fullest.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Monirul Islam, while noted artist and designer Kuhu graced the occasion. Beginning on May 11, the exhibition will remain open for all from 11:00 pm to 8:00 pm till today.
