Stalking and our morality

AS DAYS pass by, the severity and horizon of stalking continue to increase in urban as well as rural areas.
According to Ain-O-Salish Kendra, a human rights organisation, 62 per cent of the schoolgirls become victims of stalking.
I think the main reason behind the increasing incidences of stalking is the degradation of morality, ethics and mentality of the young generation. Our culture is losing its identity. Our education system seems to lack a moral underpinning. So these sordid incidents occur in the places like schools, colleges, universities, restaurants.
We need tougher legislation and it should be properly implemented to stop this menace. The government must respond appropriately to stop violence against women and the offenders must be brought under the purview of the law to ensure the justice is served.
