Promising artistes of Rabindra Sangeet Shilpy Parishad presented some timeless Tagore songs and poems on the second of the ongoing five-day national Tagore festival at Sawkat Osman auditorium of central Public Library on Saturday.  
The festival has been organised to celebrate the 151th birth anniversary of the Nobel Laureate poet.
About thirty Tagore songs were presented in solo and chorus rendition. The opening performance was Godhuli gogon-e megh-e by Subah Akbar. Zakaria presented a popular romantic song Dariye achho tumi amar while Refat Zamal rendered Amar nishitho raater in solo.   
Other singers of the organisation like Selina Pervez, Tipu Chowdhury, Sushmita Mandal and Lucky Das respectively presented some evergreen Tagore songs such as Nikote dekhibo tomarey, Jey chhilo amar swapano charini, Oje mane na mana and Aji gadhuli pohate respectively at the programme.
Singer Sabrina Rahman and Satya Chakrabaorty gave soulful presentation of Tagore songs Tumi jey amare chao and Esho shyamolo sundaro respectively.
Moreover, artistes of Biswa Bina entertained the audiences through their performance of Bajere tomar baaje bashi in chorus.
Rabi Raag singers’ performance of Rohi rohi ananda taranga in chorus also delighted the houseful audience.
Recitation artiste Bhaswar Bandapadhyay’s presentation of Tagore’s poem Jhulan in stentorian voice received much audience acclaims.
