A mobile court during drives at Tejgaon, Kaptanbazar and Fakirapool kitchen markets in the capital on Monday jailed two persons for selling dead chickens.
Delwar Hossain, 42, was jailed for two years while Reshma alias Kali, 35, for one year and a half, Rapid Action Battalion executive magistrate AHM Anwar Pasha said.
The two were held at Tejgaon Station chicken wholesale market during the drive after the court found that they were selling dead chickens to different hotels, restaurants and supermarkets, the officials said.
