Popular rock band Miles rocked hundreds of people, as expected, on Saturday at the open space of Indira Gandhi Cultural Center in Dhanmondi.
The concert was organised by the center as part of its cultural activities.
Miles moved the crowd playing its famous numbers one by one. They started with a soft rock number ‘Prothom premer moto’. The audience was grasped with a romantic feeling during the song. The magical moment was brought on stage while presenting ‘Jadu’. Shafin Ahmed’s evocative voice and blissful bass added energy to the song. The band rendered a few more soft romantic numbers such as ‘Bhulbo na tomake’, ‘Kotokal khujbo tomay’, ‘Hridoyhina’ and others.
The band’s latest song ‘Priyotoma megh’ was a treat for the audience. They also presented another new song ‘Eshona’.
The ecstasy of the audience was taken to another level with the classic song ‘Jala jala’. Youngsters cheered the band with applause and created a wave with their hands throughout the song. Miles also gave powerful performance of ‘Nila’, their evergreen number.
It was a surprise for the audience when Miles came on stage with a new line-up, with Mithun Chakraborty on percussion.
A huge number of people enjoyed the two hour musical journey making it a special evening for all. Talking about the concert Tamzid, a young audience member told the New Age, ‘it was my dream to watch a live show of Miles and it finally came true. They were outstanding on stage.’
