DU TV and film studies dept begins admission

The newly set up television and film studies department in Dhaka University has invited applications for admission into two-year Master of TFS programme for the first batch under the session 2012-2013, according to a DU press release.
Thirty students will be admitted to the programme.
Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree with a second class or a CGPA of 3.00 (on a four-point scale). No third division or class or a CGPA below 3.00 in any examination will be allowed.
Applicants from the English Medium must have O-Level in five subjects with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 and A-Level in two subjects with a minimum CGPA of 2.5. The maximum age for applying for the programme is 40 on July 1, 2012, according to the release.
Interested foreign nationals with a minimum IELTS score of 6 or an equivalent TOEFL score can contact the department.
The admission seekers have to sit for both written test for 75 marks and viva voce for 25 marks.
The application form will be available online at http://tfsadmission.univdhaka.edu from April 7.
The form must be submitted online by April 25, 2012.
