ACCORDING to the affidavit of former director general of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence, Asad Durrani, submitted to the country’s Supreme Court the following individuals and political parties received money from the intelligence agency: Nawaz Sharif, Mir Afzal Khan, Lt Gen Rafaqat, Abida Hussain, Altaf Hussain Qureshi, Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, Jam Sadiq, Mohammad Khan Junejo, Pir Pagara, Maulana Salahuddin, Humayun Marri, Jamali, Kakar, K Baloch, Jam Yousuf, Bizenjo, Jamat-i-Islami and various small groups in Sindh (Dawn, March 9).
The name of either Bangladesh Nationalist Party or its chairperson Khaleda Zia was not in the sworn affidavit of Durrani. Moreover, for the information of the readers, there is a political party named the BNP in Pakistan which stands for the Balochistan National Party and Jamat-i-Islami mentioned in the affidavit is not Jamat-i-Islami Bangladesh.
