Children painting competition held

A children painting competition was organised by Bangladesh Shilpakala marking the 92th birth anniversary of founder president of the country Sheikh Mujibar Rahman, also the National Children’s Day at the National Art Gallery plaza on Saturday.
Senior Bangladesh Awami League leader Tofael Ahmed MP handed over prizes amongst the winners.
More than 400 children in four age group category participated at the competition: children aged between three to six years participated in Ka group, children aged between six and nine participated in Kha group, children aged between nine and 12 participated in Ga group and children aged between 12 and 15 participated in Gha group. There was also a special group for physically challenged children.
Yesmin Ibne Hasan, Amlan Sarkar and Humaira Habib received respectively the first, second and third prize from Ka group. Israt Jahan, Joya Sarkar, Chayanika Rajbanshi Chandrima received respectively first, second and third prize of the Kha group.
Fatima Islam, Chishti Sababa Manir and Naila Nuren Snigdha became first second and third respectively in Ga group and Shaila Akter Urmi, Maliha Siddique and Tasnim Mumtaz became first, second and third in Gha group.
Sanjida Haque, Sahay Sarkar Akash and Sukanna received the first, second and third prize respectively at the special group.
Tasnim Mumtaz told to New Age, ‘I was really glad to participate at the competition with hundreds of other children of my age.’
