United News of Bangladesh . Dhaka

The BNP chairperson, Khaleda Zia, will sit in a meeting with leaders of the four-party alliance components today to discuss the next course of movement which would be announced from the March 12 rally in the capital.
An alliance leader who preferred not to be named told the news agency Tuesday night that the meeting would also finalise the name of the proposed expanded four-party alliance.
He said the name of the expanded alliance primarily had been chosen as Jatiyatabadi Ganatantrik Jote (Nationalist Democratic Alliance).
The expanded alliance will be formally declared from the March 12 rally, the alliance leader said.
He said today’s meeting would also discuss the overall preparations of the opposition’s rally.
Now the BNP-led four-party alliance is composed of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Oikya Jote, BJP and Khelafat Majlish.
About 10 more like-minded political parties, including JAGPA, LDP, Kalyan Party, NPP, Labour Party, NDP, NAP and Muslim League would be included in the expanded alliance, the party sources said.
