Green Delta becomes hockey’s title sponsor

Green Delta Insurance Company has become the title sponsor of the Dhaka Premier Hockey League along with the first and second division leagues for the next three years after signing an agreement with the Bangladesh Hockey Federation on Saturday.
BHF president and chief of air staffs air marshal Ziaur Rahman and Green Delta’s managing director and chief executive officer Nasir Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury signed the contract on behalf of their respective organisations. According to the agreement, Green Delta will give Tk 40 lakhs to BHF as title sponsor of the respective leagues for the next three years with half of the amount to be paid in this season. The rest of the money will be paid in two installments while the insurance firm also promised BHF of an added amount in the ending season if needed. BHF general secretary Khaja Rahmatullah and Green Delta’s deputy managing director Nazim Tajik Chowdhury were also present in the program among others.
