BTCL makes local calls 300pc dearer

Spl drive fails to improve law and order in capital

The ongoing special drive by the police has hardly made any improvement in law and order situation in Dhaka city as most of the listed criminals are yet to be netted. Law enforcers have so far nabbed 10,652 people since the special drive was launched on May 1 but only 62 out of 3,063 listed criminals could be arrested, the police said. Robbers loot currencies worth Tk 14 lakh

Armed robbers looted currencies amounting to Tk 14 lakh from a money exchange shop at Khilgaon in the capital Wednesday.
