Dorja Khola Bari by Jewel
Playing with the arrangement
by Sharmin Chowdhury
Even if you play the tracks unmindfully, something in the music will drag your attention in the songs for sure. With the familiar magnetic pull of Aiyub Bachhu’s composition, the fresh melodies of the recently released music album Dorja Khola Bari by singer Jewel, has already become popular amongst the listeners.
Among the ten tracks, the album picks its title from the fifth number Dorja khola bari. The lyrics of the song, written by Niyaz Ahmed Ongshu goes, shara shohor urchhe khobor/tomar amar ari/moner bhetor akta pathor/smritir barabari/ kothay tumi kothay ami/ dorja khola bari.
The album opens with a romantic number janina kano. Written and composed by Bachchu, the song goes janina mone rakho kin a rakho / ei amake dure giye / tomaro mukhe hashi fotabo / ami janina ki diye.
Ontordhane, the second song of the album is noticeable due to the variation in its composition; it is overtly rhythmic. Though sung by the same person and composed single handedly, the way the songs are arranged into the album does not cause monotony.
The other songs of the album are Elomelo, 9/F, free school street, Anonnya, Dubsatar, Public library, Bhalobashi, and Shonar deho. The lyrics are by various artistes like Sajjad Hussain, Niyaj Ahmed Ongshu, Aiyub Bachchu and Jonabali Gazi.
Jewel has rendered all the songs with his natural and skillful voice. On the other hand, Bachchu, as always, has given a special effect to the songs making it sound even better and varied with his accomplished composition. The album was released under the banner of Laser Vision.
