Sweet, melodious, romantic are the words that pop up to mind while listening to the songs of Swapno Golpo, Fahmida Nobi’s recently released solo album, the first in last one and a half years.
With eight tracks, the album is a combination of soulful lyrics, composition and rendition. The title song written by Golam Morshed goes, ato prem dile a buke/tai jol dhorena chokhe/ ektu ektu kore/joro kora phul shob bashi hoye jaye.
Other songs are rajkumar, na na na, ar koto kor, ghum nei, shesh bar, shatar and obhimani chand. Obhimani chand has been dedicated to the eminent writer, late Humayun Azad, who in the album has been referred as ‘a dear face in our moon’. The lyrics of the song, written by Ahsan Kabir, goes, take dekhe mone hoy/ phail phail kore kata obhimani chand/ hut hat dube jay/ chup chap phire ashe/ kheyali nishad.
Among the rest, na na na is really worth mentioning as a beautiful number. Slow, soft and very melodious, the song leaves its impact even after it ends.
