CDA cancels allotment
of 82 plots

The Chittagong Development Authority has cancelled allotment of 82 plots in three residential and three industrial areas for failure of the allottees to build structures within the CDA-set timeframe. According to CDA sources, the owners of the plots — 62 in Agrabad, Chandgaon and Colonelhat residential areas and 20 plots at Kalurghat, Mohora and Faujderhat industrial areas — were supposed to set up structures in the plots within five years of getting allotment...[ + ]

Barisal river port dev project becomes uncertain

Uncertainty looms over the fate of Barisal river port development project as it has been lying at the Planning Commission for about two years, sources in the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority said.
