AL to contest city, municipal polls
Some leaders express reservations

creeps up

Inflation increased slightly in May from its April level due to fresh rise in prices of rice, potato and fish. Although general inflation was just below 7.5 per cent, food inflation still hovered menacingly close to the double digit mark...[ + ]

costlier

Prices of red lentil, edible oils and spices increased further in the city market in the week to Friday while rice price remained high despite increased supply of coarse varieties. Traders claimed tight supply from both import and local sources pushed up prices of red
