Educationists want national talks

Eminent educationists, teachers and guardians demanded that the government should postpone holding secondary school certificate exams with structured questions by a year, from 2010 to 2011, and arrange a national dialogue on the issue. The education ministry on July 29, 2007 decided the students who would be in Class IX in 2008 would face structured questions in the 2010 SSC exams with marks set for different segments of a question, instead of the essay types that are now in practice...[ + ]

Rajshahi people suffer for shifting of bus terminal

Shifting of the inter-district bus terminal to Nawdapara from Shiroli has caused immense sufferings to long-haul passengers in commuting to and from the city centre.
