Music lovers on Thursday thronged at the Winter Garden of Hotel Sheraton to enjoy a concert titled James Unplugged.
   After greeting the crowd, James started his performance with his famous track Dukhini dukhha karona. Through the number, the singer managed to set the tone for the rest of the show.
   James then sang the hugely popular song Jedin bandhu.
   The crowd was taken for an emotional ride when James sang the track Maa.
   The singer enthralled the crowd singing his own hit numbers including Sultana bibiana, Pagla hawa, Alvida, Bheegi bheegi and others. The audience also chorused in unison.
   Besides James, Artcell, Black and Dreek also performed at the concert, organised by Red Dot and Trilogy.

Marking Victory Day, production house Laser Vision has released an album of patriotic songs titled ‘Mrittika’.
   Noted Nazrul Sangeet singers, Shakil Anam and Kalpana Anam, sing the ten songs including Mago tor
   sabuj chadare, Ei Banglar
   matite, Tumi ki madhur sonar rupar bari, Tumi chirakal amar buker dhon, Aaj noy gungun,
   Ek sagar rakter binimaye,
   Amar desher matir gandhye, Dekhona ma go, O amar Bangla ma tor and O amar desher
   mati.
   Durbadal Chattapadhyaya has worked as the music director of the album.
   The singers hope that songs of the album will inspire the younger generation with the spirit of the liberation.
   The album is dedicated to the martyred of the country’s war of independence and the future generations.
