Concert at TSC for Sidr victims

The Dhaka University Sahitya Sangskritik Sangsad will hold a concert to raise funds for the victims of Sidr. The show will begin at the Teacher-Student Centre at 3:00pm today. Vice chancellor of the university, Professor SMA Faiz will be present as chief guest while pro-vice chancellor, AFM Yousuf Haider and treasurer, Professor Abul Kalam Azad will be present as special guests. Noted artistes including Abdul Jabbar, Azam Khan, Kumar Biswajit, Hassan Chowdhury, Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul, Samina Chowdhury, Rafiqul Alam, Subir Nandi, Khurshid Alam, Mahiuzzaman Moyna, Indramohan Rajbangshi, Mamtaz, SI Tutul, Ferdous Ara and Ankhi Alamgir will sing at the show. Besides, popular artistes –– Babita, Popy, Manna, Ahmed Sharif, Afzal Hossain, Kazi Hayat, Chashi Nazrul Islam, Ramendu Majumdar, Amjad Hossain and others –– will also perform at the event. New Age, Amardesh, Radio Today and ATN Bangla are the media partners of the concert. Ticket, priced at TK 100, will be available at TSC.
Ocean Records releases two albums

The Ocean Records Bangladesh released two music albums – Amra Garba and Oh Chand recently marking the Eidul-Ul Azha, one of the biggest festivals of the Muslims. The album, Amra Garba, features eight patriotic songs, composed by Jamal Sheikh. The numbers of album are Amra Garba, Natun prajanmake, Itihase lekha achhe, Ore Banglar, Krishak chalechhe and O Bangladesh. Ornab Chatterjee, Tahmina Ahmed, Tanvir Shahin and Soma sing the different numbers. Oh Chand features nine songs sung by Sreya Ghoshal, Fahmida Nabi, Ornab Chatterjee and Alam Ara Minu. All the tracks have been composed by Jamal Sheikh. Both the albums are available in the market.
