BD team to visit Myanmar to discuss contract farming

Fire burns footwear factory
at Shyampur

Machinery and other valuables in six warehouses of a rubber industry were burned and a building and a filling station partially damaged in a fire at Shyampur in Old Town of Dhaka early Saturday. According to spot accounts, the fire originated from a short circuit at the tin-roofed Maxon Rubber Industries Ltd, a footwear manufacturer located at 31 Posta of Shyampur, at about 12:45am and immediately engulfed five adjacent warehouses...[ + ]
