assessment

Physicians at Mitford to face music if tests referred outside

The Mitford Hospital authorities stand tough against the physicians who ask the patients to do pathological tests in diagnostic centres of their choice, making mandatory that the patients must do the tests in the hospital lab, if available. The director of the hospital, Dr Mahmud Hossain, issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday on allegations that the physicians refer the patients to privately-owned diagnostic centres for personal gains...[ + ]

No flagman, barriers at most Rajshahi level crossings

Most level crossings in the Rajshahi city and on its outskirts remain risky as the points have no flagman and barriers. Thousands of people and vehicles in the city cross the level crossings, which have no barriers, at high risk.
