BB makes provisions mandatory for nostro accounts
In a bid to improve the bank asset quality, the Bangladesh Bank has instructed the country’s commercial banks to keep certain provisions against unsettled transactions in the nostro accounts. In a circular issued on Tuesday, the central bank has also asked the banks to submit quarterly audited statements of the nostro accounts.
